IF YOU MADE IT HERE, WE WELCOME YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY APPLE DRIVE PARTICIPANT COMMUNITY AND WE THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING BEING A PART OF THIS IMPORTANT LOCAL MOVEMENT AS WE ENTER OUR 10TH YEAR!

The annual Community Apple Drive is a program built to raise awareness around resource utilization and local food abundance that commonly go to waste.

Localized food resilience and natural preservation is at the core of our mission here at WildCraft. It is a joy to offer opportunities to share this with our greater community.

Aspects to possibly consider in this artistic interpretation of the Community Apple Drive program.

- The action of community barter through collection

- The utilization of forgotten or wasted resources 

- The beauty of seasonal fluctuation 

- Harvest, processing and labor representation (so many hands create this, including YOU)

You will not be judged on any of the above aspects translating into your art concept, it is simply food for imagination.

HERE ARE THE CONTEST DETAILS

You have until June 1st,2024 at 11:59PM to imagine, create and submit how you envision the evolution of the Community Apple Drive branding. This art will be used as a logo on promotional materials as well as on the labels for this year’s final release of the YOUR FRUIT YOUR CIDER cans.

Your art will always be accompanied with your name or artist name anytime it is used.

All art submitted by the deadline of June 1st will be sent in an email chain to all of our Community Apple Drive participants (3600 persons) for the initial voting process.

This poll will run the week of June 3rd through June 9th by which time, the 3 art pieces with the most votes will be selected.

These top 3 contestants’ art will then be presented on posts through our website, instagram and facebook feeds for final public opinion. These posts will launch on June 11th with the winner selected on June 18th! This will determine the winner of the contest.

Either digital or physical art can be submitted and mediums, methods or materials used are up to you, the artist. We will, however, look for usable translation to digital layout and flat surface re-printing.

File type is up to you. Physical art can be submitted in person at WildCraft’s tasting room during open hours and digital art can be submitted using the link below.

-WINNER WILL RECEIVE-

  • $250 gift card to WildCraft through our tasting room, online shop, or WildCraft booths at farmers markets 

  • The art selected will become the logo for the 2024 Community Apple Drive promotions. 

    (We print 5,000 handbills, 200 11x17 posters, 4 yard signs and 2,000 stickers each year, plus 6000 or more can labels that deliver to stores all over the state and even to Alaska and some places in California. These cans will also be used as apple barter for this coming year’s apple drive)

  • Name representation on all materials printed using your contribution
