REI: Folk Heroes of the Northwest w/ William Sullivan

Instructor: Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council

Author William L. Sullivan takes us on a slide show tour of legendary Northwest folk heroes from Sacajawea and D.B. Cooper to Bigfoot and an exploding whale. Expect tales about the historical figures that helped define the spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Sullivan has written four novels and a dozen nonfiction books about the Northwest, including "Hiking Oregon's History." His journal of a 1000-mile hike across Oregon, "Listening for Coyote," was chosen as one of Oregon's "100 Books." This talk is hosted in partnership with the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council (CFWWC), one of REI's 2019 Grant Partners.

WildCraft Cider Works will donate $1 from every cider sold to the CFWWC, whose mission is to restore and enhance the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed through education, restoration, monitoring and stewardship.
