Two evenings of authentic underground lyricism and evocative music as the worlds of conscious hip hop and jazz fuse together to bring the audience all aboard.
Led by the legendary L.A.-based drummer, percussionist and producer JMD, The Underground Railroad is a trio that includes Robert "Bullit" Harris on guitar and Mikal Majeed on the Hammond B-3 organ. Influenced by the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Vi Redd, Clifford Brown, John Coltrane, Sly and the Family Stone and others, this group is no stranger to the worlds of jazz, blues, rock, funk or fusion. True to form in their collaborative and cutting-edge fashion, The Underground Railroad will be joined by Freestyle Fellowship lyricist Myka Nyne and the event and will be hosted by Mone Smith AKA Medusa tha Gangsta Goddess.
Both evenings host pre-show cider/cider cocktail pairing dinners with reserved table seating as a second ticket tier.
Friday, join us for a pairing with chef Isaiah Martinez of Yardy.
Saturday , features a pairing dinner with chef Andrew Hroza of Ninkasi's Better Living Room.
Ticket Tier 1 - General Admission - $20 - Doors @ 8:30 pm - Show 9pm -10:30 pm
Ticket Tier 2 -$70 -Seating and Cocktails at 6:30pm - Dinner @7pm
Reserved table seating w/ dinner, cider and documentary screening of "This is the Life" by producer Ava DuVernay. - Hear from the artists featured in the film and enjoy a 3 course dinner with cider cocktail pairings. Includes GA.
