IT’S A GRAND UPRISING is grassroots organized gathering that honors resilience in the face of adversities presented by the continuous rise of imperialism facing our community and many others. An event that perpetuates positivity and productivity while reigniting the passions of artists and educators. A collective, a group of independents and a family of one.
Fireweed is the first flowering plant that emerges out of wildfires in the Pacific Northwest. An abundant and underutilized medicinal edible. The tea offering is immune strengthening, blood balancing, detoxifying and mood calming. This represents our connection with nature and wild places that are becoming increasingly rare.
The Phoenix artwork painted by Lola Buckwald is the artist’s representation of that connection and also stands for the embodiment of the needed commitment to our land and each other.
