Delawaken cider

This fall, Wildcraft is proud to announce the release of Delawaken, a seasonal cider honoring the passing and memories of loved ones as we stand in solidarity with our Latino brothers and sisters during the annual Dia de los Muertos celebration. Wildcraft values the richness of cultural heritage and the melting pot that is America; we believe the time is now, more than ever, to work toward a greater understanding of each other as a blended nation of many traditions.

In the spirit of that search for greater understanding,  in honor of those who have passed on and in the hope of building a stronger community, we present this special cider. Hand-picked Sweet Briar Rose buds are added into cold conditioned cider made from Winesap apples muddled on wild blackcap raspberries and fermented in freshly emptied tequila barrels. We then infuse the brew with a touch of smoked chiles. In Delawaken we’ve created an offering we believe is worthy of familia y celebración.

Delawaken is a truly unique and limited-edition cider:  only 8 barrels of it exist. Not only are we pleased to provide the community with this celebratory one-of-a-kind beverage, but we are equally pleased to see it become a vehicle for social justice and activism. A portion of the profits from Delawaken sales will go to Centro Latino Americano, a nonprofit community organization in Lane County, Oregon, dedicated to advocacy and integration of all Latinos into our society.

Delawaken is an offering worthy of familia y celebración, just in time for Dia de los Muertos. ¡Salud!
